Hello Humbug fans!
In my defense, I feed and turn out at an (almost) ungodly hour, and often the
coffee hit hasn't yet 'hit'. There's probably no excuse for what happened this
morning though...
Taz virtually inhales his breakfast, and is then impatient to get out into the
field. Once he's got his nose in his breakfast bowl, I wrestle Toby out of the
stable, trying to avoid (usually unsuccessfully) being bitten by You Know Who,
who despite being stiff and hobbly can still deliver a good snap of teeth to an
unsuspecting leg.
This morning, Toby and his chicken friend were just outside the stable,
munching happily on Toby's breakfast. Taz was letting me know that it'd been
several hours since his last mouthful (3 seconds max) so I put him on his
headcollar and set off out for the field... Suddenly, like a fuzzy ginger
ninja, Toby was out in the long grass, living his absolute best life, up to his
whatnots in the green stuff!
Yep... In my haste to get Taz out I'd neglected to put Toby on his headcollar!
Normally , Toby wouldn't have even noticed and would still be standing there
when I returned, so goodness knows what got into him this morning, but maybe
the old advice applies... Live life like someone left the gate open!
Here's hoping your day is as good as Toby's!
Until next time... Xx
